Are You Too Heavenly Minded?

I hear a lot ppl saying that your too heavenly minded that your are no earthly good. I beg to differ because if you're too earthly minded then you want be no heavenly good.

Jesus made plain and clear that we are to be lights to the world because if we do, we will illuminate a Spirtual, Godly, and Agape effect on the world that will transcend and point the worldly people unto the heavenly.

Matthew 5:13-15  states, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men." 14"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house."

The Lord also told us to store up treasure for heaven and not this earth. Matthew 6:20 states, "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."

We are told to seek the things above not the things below. Colossians 3:2  states, "Set your minds on things above not on earthly things."

Philippians 3:20 states, "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,"

Colossians 3:1 "If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above."

So be very careful what you allow your mind, heart, spirit, and soul to be persuaded by.

We must test every spirit. If your under Pastor that is only talking about the here and now and your best life now.

You are being taught by a false teacher because your best life is eternal life with the Lord throughout eternity.  This life is temporary so don't try to equate  it with the life to come.

True Pastors will point you to Jesus Christ and His Righteousness.  The basic necessiates for your life will be taken care of according to His Will and Purpose because there will be times that you're going to have to go through something(s) and your faith in the Lord is going to be tested.

There is nothing far more important than living our lives for Christ and pointing others to Him.

Heaven and earth will pass away but His Words shall never pass away, and anyone that has truly entrusted themselves to Him shall reside with Him forever.
