The Battle and Struggle with Sin
The Bible makes plain and clear that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Even the most devout Christians still struggle with sin. Who can rescue, deliver, cleanse, redeem, and save us from our past, present, and futures sins.
We are all imperfect human beings in need of a Savior. We cannot save ourselves from sin nor can the law save us from sin, it actually condemns us because no one, but Jesus kept it perfectly.
Christians must never forget that we must confess our sins daily because we all still falter. The Lord knows our are heart, motives, thoughts, intent, and etc.
We all still continue to fall short of a HOLY, PERFECT, AND INFINITE GOD. No matter how much good we do, or how much we fail, it is still Calvary that saves us.
We can never be good enough to earn our way into heaven or refuted just as long as Christ is our foundation, sufficiency, and cornerstone. I am not advocating that we use God's grace as an excuse to sin and rebel against God.
We are to be led by God's Holy Spirit to live Godly and obedient lives. But the reality is that there is a battle between the flesh and spirit and despite all the sins we overcome in our lives, we will not be 100 sinless apart from Christ, Jesus. Until our bodies are changed from corruptible to incorruptible we will still struggle with sin until we leave this earth, or our Lord returns.
Some people like to categorize sins but the Lord sees all of us for what we really are. So who can rescue us from the capitivity of sin? How can we have victory over sin and the struggle of it? Well the word of God gives us the solution.
I praise you Lord Jesus for being my Savior, Redeemer, Heavenly High Priest, and Mediator. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, Jesus (Romans 7:7-12). Again, we must not use God's Grace as a license to sin.
We are to continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord putting off the flesh and be conformed to the likeness of Christ. Sin must not reign in our mortal bodies. If we live and walk in the Spirit, we will be overcomers and refute sin in our lives.
We have to continiue to fight the good fight allowing the Holy Spirit to fill, lead, guide, and direct us to be overcomers.
