Trust in Jesus not Yourself and Your Identity Should be in Jesus Christ

Let's not forget that God expects for us to be obedient in full compliance with justice, mercy, and faithfulness by allowing Jesus Christ to work in us and through us.

It not about us, it is all about Jesus Christ and allowing Him to abide in us so that we can abide in Him. Apart from Him we can do nothing.

Faithless works is trusting in self. Being God's workmanship unto good works in Christ Jesus is trusting in the Lord, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Never trust in yourself! Trust in Jesus, deny self, and surrender your life to Him. Continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord yielding, cleaving, and surrendering your life unto Him becoming conformed unto His likeness and His Will for your life.

Your identity should be in Christ not your best life now. You're just passing through this life. The life to come will be for eternity. How you live your life now does matter to God. You will never know what God truly desires for you if you're rejecting to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

Sadly many have an artificial and deceptive view of God being some genie in a bottle granting them all their material desires. Sadly they only give to get thinking that what they materially have affirms them as authentic followers of Christ.

Sadly they are being deceived. True followers of Christ must study to show thyself approved and work out their own salvation with fear and trembling unto the Lord not self.

If you're in a Church that is pointing you to self rather than pointing you to the servitude, obedience, and desire to live for Christ, I pray you remove yourself and find a Bible-believing Church that is not going to tickle your ears with partial truth and deceptive lies but tell God's Truth without compromise.
